Hey everyone,
sorry not to have written sooner. Teh retreat went well but we got busy at the end and email wasn't working well where we were just staying. The missionaries had a blast we have some great video we will post soon of the dancing at the hoedown.
The team headed off to a few days with some missionary friends in Erseka where we had time to rest a bit from the business of serving at the retreat. Now the team heads back to Tirane to do some touring and fly out on Sunday. Kim Norma and myself (Jen) drive north to Kosovo today and an hour or so. We will be there through September.
When I get to a computer there I will post some pictures of the retreat.

Mire’s birthday, many of you will remember our sweet friend. Be praying for her as she is planning to be in California, Lord Willing, to attend Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta this next spring. We are in the midst of helping her raise the funds necessary for that. Please contact us if it is on your heart to help our sweet sister that way!

Update #1-We have arrived!

Mirё mёnges tё githё! (meer munjess tuh jeeth) Good morning everyone!

We arrived safe and sound! The entire trip was about 24 hours total landing us in Tirane 11pm last night our time.

Here we are having landed in Tirane. By then we had gotten loopy (pillow fight on the plane-Larry!) and were clearly entertaining the guy on the left :o)

As well as ALL OUR LUGGAGE!!! This is a first time EVER in the last 6 years of this retreat that we have gotten ALL of our luggage right when we arrive. Thank you all who were praying about that!

We were happy to see Cindy and some other friends once we arrived. Everything is going well. The hotel has been very accommodating…Praise the Lord!

We got together this morning for communion, prayer and worship to start our retreat.

We are blessed to have Mire and Iola with us this year. They shared a lot with us today about the history and current status of their country. We hope to post some of that info for y’all soon.

Hey everyone!
We are just about to leave Calvary Chapel Murrieta for LAX. We fly out later tonight via London and Munich and arrive in Albania Basically tomorrow night at midnight.

This years trip is from September 6th-16th. This will be the seventh retreat that SSS has put on to serve those on the mission field. We will have ministry for singles, couples and VBS for the kids.



We hope to see the missionaries refreshed by sessions of bible teaching, prayer, worship, workshops, free time and some special events which include:

• Romantic dinner for the married couples



• Special Ladies Tea



• Family hoe-down



• Kids Movie night



• Pedicures for the ladies



• Beach bonfire

After the retreat is over and done with, our team will be visiting other areas in Albania including a rural village or two and a bible college in southern Albania.

The team members are still being finalized. We hope to post a picture of the team soon so you can see all our smiling faces :o)
